When it rains, it pours!
Hello, My name is Kathryn Vogel; I am the founder of Homes4Hens Rescue CIC. Our organisation has saved thousands of hens from slaughter for over ten years and placed them in loving homes.
If you have watched the video attached to this Fundraiser, you will have seen the essential piece of equipment, our Homes4Hens Rescue Van! This van has transported at least ten thousand hens more than a hundred thousand miles in the past three years.
In the past couple of months alone, our van has delivered a trailer full of hens to 14 collection points across the country.
Yesterday, the van broke down on the way back from collecting hen feed. Sadly, it is not a small job to get it fixed. A new clutch is needed, and the quote is close to £900.
We have only recently raised funds to cover some urgently outstanding bills, so it is a real blow to be needing help again.
Without the van, we cannot operate. Without your help, we cannot fix the van. So we are forced to appeal to your kindness once again.
Please help us get the rescue van back to work, transporting hens to their new homes.
