You can find out the answers to our most frequently asked questions below.

Where is my nearest collection point?

Our collection points are located at Ayr, Carlisle, Dumfries, Falkirk, Hexham and Newton Stewart.

When is the next rehoming events?

As soon as we have a date set for a rehoming event we will update the website and send out an email. You can join our mailing list below so you will be the first to know when hen booking is open.

Do I need a home check to adopt hens?

No, we do not insist on home checks, all we ask is that you have knowledge of caring for hens. Don't worry if its your first time, our website has lots of expert advice and we also provide you with an informative leaflet on the day.

Can you re-home my hens?

We mainly deal with hens from the egg laying industry. However, if you have hens in need of a home we may be able to help. Fill in a contact form and we will get back to you soon.

Do you rescue/re-home any other animals?

Yes, we have rescued ducks, geese, guineafowl, turkeys, pigeons, seagulls, pigs, ponies and cats to name a few.

What about cockerels?

We have limited space to take in cockerels since they often fight if kept together. We usually have a few available for rehoming.
